Southern Shores Town Council will hold a Budget Workshop on May 13th at 8:00 AM in the Pitts Center to discuss the FY2008-09 proposed budget.
**New Chipping Schedule** - No chipping June, July and August. May will be the last month for chipping until September. Go to chipping for more information on the new chipping program.
Spring 2008 Newsletter can be read online. This issues includes important information on the changed recycling schedule and Annual Town Cleanup week.
If you already have a 2007 parking sticker you don't need to apply for a new one. The 2007 stickers are good until further notice. If you get a new vehicle or have just moved into Town, you must apply for a sticker. Go to Parking for more information.
**New Recycling Schedule** Starting January 1 "off-season" recycling pickup will be the first and third Monday of each month until June 1. "In-season", June 1 through September 30 recycling will be every Monday. New larger recycling cans (95 gallon) are available for a fee of $90.00. If you need to get rid of recycling before scheduled pickup there are extra recycling cans at the Public Works facility behind the South Fire Station across from the Kitty Hawk Elementary School on S. Dogwood Tr. No large items are to be disposed at this location only recycling and bagged household trash.
